The Agricultural Center for Experiential Learning expands on a well-established agricultural program that has operated at Florin High School for nearly 20 years. Highly regarded throughout Northern California for its horticulture and poultry programs, the new expansion allows for expanded program offerings in plant sciences and animal husbandry. A 4,000 s.f. barn provides new pen and show space for livestock and includes a hatchery and nursery care for poultry. Two new labs provide additional hands-on learning space and are directly adjacent to an outdoor orchard and garden area, offering collaborative partnerships with the adjacent Florin High School Culinary Center. This facility is partially funded by a grant through the California Department of Educations’s Career Technical Education Program.
