Jillian, Design Technician, is a recent graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a passion for designing spaces that foster social connection and enhance everyday experiences. Her previous internships provided hands-on experience in Revit modeling, construction documentation, and rendering. She is particularly excited to contribute to education projects that support learning and growth, and she aspires to become a licensed architect in the coming years.

Not very long, just started this month!
What do you do in your downtime? (Cook? Ski? Play sports?)
I enjoy playing chess, watching reality TV show competitions, trying new restaurants, exploring, and playing video games.
What is your dream vacation?
I would love to go to Japan during cherry blossom season.
What’s your favorite part of working in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry?
My favorite part of working in architecture is its wide impact on people’s daily lives, whether it’s through creating opportunities and space for people or enhancing the human experience in existing spaces.
If you weren’t a design technician, what would you be doing?
I originally wanted to be a video game designer or work in computer science, so likely something in that field.
If you could choose your super power, what would you choose?
I would choose teleportation.
Do you have any pets?
I have one dog who lives with my parents. Her name is Miso and she’s 5 years old.
Favorite song or band/musician?
I’ve been listening to All I Need by Radiohead a lot recently. My all-time favorite artist would be Blood Orange.
What do you like on your pizza?
I usually go for a simple margherita pizza, but the Heatwave at Pizza Supreme Being is also a favorite. Honestly, anything with hot honey is a win.
What is your favorite thing to do in Sacramento?
I’m new to Sacramento, but some of my favorite things I’ve done so far in the area are climbing at Pipeworks, karaoke, and walking around Ancil Hoffman Park.
