Touring the Sacramento County 911 Communications Center

The Sacramento Convention Center was host to the 2015 Western Regional Association of Public Safety Communications Officials (APCO) Annual Conference last week. Serving as the largest public safety communications association in the world, the conference offered Communications professionals an opportunity to see vendors and exhibitors from around the country, attend over 80 professional development sessions (from technical, operations, and management tracks) and network with other industry leaders.

As part of the conference, Nacht & Lewis was honored to join Xybix Systems Inc. in hosting a tour of the nearly completed, Sacramento County 911 Communications Center. Early on in the design process, we developed a video to help communicate how the users would work and interact with the remodeled space. [youtube_video] 0qSw9q1eoko [/youtube_video]

Two bus tours went out to the Elk Grove facility location, giving nearly 50 attendees an inside opportunity to walk through the space, learn about the innovative dispatch furniture and hear from the experts from behind the scenes, including Mike Smith, a Senior Project Manager and our Public Safety market leader. You can find more information about the Sacramento County 911 Communications Center remodel project here.
