The project consists of design and construction of a new building housing both evidence storage and a morgue facility. The evidence storage area of the new building will provide space for a body extraction garage; evidence processing area; a conditioned computer lab, forensic lab, record storage, and narcotics and DNA storage. A new high density storage system will provide 3-times the current storage capacity. The new morgue area of the new building will provide a morgue sallyport; two autopsy suites with 3 autopsy stations; refrigeration storage for up to 40 bodies; and office space for coroner staff. Exterior improvements consist of new visitor parking; a secure yard for staff and official vehicle parking; covered evidence parking; storage; emergency generator; trash enclosure with separate bio-hazardous waste storage.
