Take a moment to learn about the newest member of our Nacht & Lewis healthcare team. Luke Abbott has joined the firm, taking on a role as Design Technician.
How long have you been with N&L?
I have been with Nacht & Lewis for a bout 1.5 month. I started in mid-November.
What’s your favorite type of cuisine?
I like most foods. Sushi, Thai, Mexican, and burgers are probably at the top of my list. But there are too many to name. Anything spicy is my favorite!
Do you speak any other languages?
I took Spanish in high school but am not very fluent at all.
What do you do in your downtime? (Cook? Ski? Play sports?)
In my downtime, I like to go play disc golf, hang out with my family and friends, watch football (if the season is going), play video games, and do some baking now and again.
What is your favorite movie?
One of my favorite movies is called The Fountain. It is really, really good.
Do you have any pets?
I have a cat named Oliver, a grey tabby. He is at least 12-13 years old. He is immortal.
What’s your favorite part of working in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry?
My favorite thing about being in AEC industry is helping create something that people will use every day. Also, getting to see something that I’ve made plans for come off the page and into reality. It is really fun being able to call out, “Hey, I did the plans on that building!”
If you weren’t a Design Technician, what would you be doing?
If I wasn’t working at Nacht & Lewis, I would use my woodworking and welding skills to create my own furniture designs. It is still something that I really want to do, and I will at some capacity.
What do you like on your pizza?
The best basic pizza ever is pineapple, jalapeno, and pepperoni. Anything with pineapple!
What’s your favorite holiday?
My favorite holiday is Christmas.
Where would you choose to live: by the ocean, in the mountains, or the woods?
It would be perfect to live in the woods close to the ocean. PNW type of feel. Lost coast etc.
Favorite song or band/musician?
My favorite band is Dance Gavin Dance.
