BIOGRAPHY
Lorenzo is the justice market team lead and has been involved in both the management and the master planning of justice campuses and the development of initial concepts through the completion of construction. His justice experience provides him a holistic understanding of the design process and familiarity with agency requirements, ensuring that Nacht & Lewis produces secure, practical, constructible and efficient designs. Lorenzo is a member of the AIA’s Academy of Architecture for Justice (AAJ) Advisory Group- the organization’s five-person leadership board.
He has held past leadership positions with AIA including chair of the San Francisco chapter of the AAJ and national conference chair. He recently co-chaired a California State Fire Marshal committee to review and address code requirements for courts, detention and law enforcement facilities. In this capacity, he authored code language to help reduce the cost of these facilities while ensuring they remain safe and functionally efficient.
