BIOGRAPHY
Lorenzo is the justice market team lead and has been involved in both the management and the master planning of justice campuses, and the development of initial concepts through the completion of construction. His justice experience provides him a holistic understanding of the design process and familiarity with agency requirements, ensuring that Nacht & Lewis produces secure, practical, constructible and efficient designs. Lorenzo is a member of the AIA’s Academy of Architecture for Justice (AAJ) Knowledge Community, where he has served in various leadership roles including the National Chair. He has advocated for architecture that support criminal justice reform.
Lorenzo has also served various Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM) task groups helping to clarify and author code language. He chaired an OSFM committee, responsible for the creation of a Group I-3 (detention/courts) Occupancy interpretative manual. Lorenzo applies is expertise with fire and life safety requirements for institutional facilities as a consultant, helping to shepherd other firm's projects through agency review.

INTERESTING FACT
Lorenzo volunteers for the Sacramento Sheriff's Drowning Accident Rescue Team (DART). In addition to his role as Secretary, he is a driver, boat operator, recovery diver, diver tender and certified swiftwater rescue technician.
