BIOGRAPHY
Lorenzo is the team lead for the justice market. He has extensive experience in managing and master planning justice, civic, behavioral health and other institutional facilities, from developing initial concepts to completing construction. His deep knowledge of the design process and agency requirements ensures that Nacht & Lewis delivers secure, practical, constructible, and efficient designs.
Lorenzo is an active member of the AIA’s Academy of Architecture for Justice (AAJ) Knowledge Community, where he has held various leadership roles, including National Chair. He is a strong advocate for architecture that supports criminal justice reform. Additionally, Lorenzo has contributed to several Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM) task groups, helping to clarify and author code language. He chaired an OSFM committee responsible for creating a Group I-3 (detention/courts) Occupancy Interpretive Manual. Lorenzo uses his expertise in fire and life safety requirements for institutional facilities to consult and guide other firms' projects through agency review.

INTERESTING FACT
Lorenzo volunteers for the Sacramento's Drowning Accident Rescue Team (DART). In addition to his role as Secretary, he is a driver, boat operator, recovery diver, diver tender and certified swiftwater rescue technician.
