A Dedication To Robert Peterson

“Great is the art of beginning, but greater is the art of ending.”
– Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

On January 30th,  the Nacht & Lewis staff, along with members of his family, celebrated the life of Robert Petersen who passed suddenly on September 29th, 2018. Our newly dedicated “Robert Petersen Conference Room” serves as a reminder of his legacy and what he gave to the firm, his profession as an architect, a mentor and a sincere friend. He was man of integrity who committed his life to serving others.

Bob loved technology and how it supported collaboration between team members and clients. The conference room, dedicated to him, hosts state-of-the-art side-by-side projector screens on a white board with the ability to add two additional wide screen monitors. Along with the software Bob introduced to Nacht & Lewis, he presented the idea of the conference room being the perfect venue for large meetings allowing remote partners to attend virtually.

Bob not only mentored us professionally, he volunteered at the nearby prison in Folsom where he provided guidance to inmates, taught compassion, accountability and self-worth. He touched the lives of so many people who loved and respected him.

Our own Jackie Son, shown in the photo, created the stunning wall graphic which was installed in the conference room including Bob’s likeness and the quote “WHAT WOULD BOB DO?” The quote is a reminder to follow his example in our professional and personal lives.
