Design Technician/Senior Design Technician

The Ideal Candidate:

Entry Level to 5 years of experience with civic projects. Must have a passion for design and a desire to produce high quality construction documents under the supervision of a project architect. An architectural degree is preferred but not required.

Project Duties include, but are not limited to (under the supervision of an architect):

  • Preparation of construction documents utilizing BIM/CAD
  • Develop details and assist with specifications
  • Manage project files and implement BIM/CAD standards
  • Coordinate drawing content to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Assist the Project Architect in material and product research
  •  Assist the Project Architect with code analysis
  • Conduct field investigations to determine existing conditions
  • Execute small project with supervision
  • Review shop drawings
  • Conduct construction phase site observations

Applicants for senior positions should meet the following requirements:

  • Experience in compiling construction documents including specifications for small projects with little supervision
  • Formal education in architecture
  • Expertise in various aspects of computer generated modeling and graphics that demonstrate the ability to produce graphics/drawings/models that are neat, concise, organized and complete

Project Coordinator

The Ideal Candidate:

Minimum 5-10+ years of experience with civic projects. Must have a passion for design and technical knowledge, coupled with leadership ability to direct and coordinate the work of the project production team. Current California Energy Code building envelope design and detailing experience is a plus

Project Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee the design and preparation of contract documents through supervision and coordination of the work including in-house architectural as well as consultants
  • Reviews project documents for quality control
  • Maintains project records
  • Review projects for compliance with zoning and building codes, regulations and standards
  • Process documents through review agencies
  • Work with clients in the development of the design and documentation
  • Provide design information for construction cost estimates
  • Perform construction support and contract administration

Project Architect

The Ideal Candidate:

Minimum 5-10+ years of experience with civic projects. Must have a passion for design and technical knowledge coupled with leadership ability to direct and coordinate the work of the project production team. Current California Energy Code building envelope design and detailing experience is a plus and applicants must hold a current architectural registration in the U.S.

Project Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee design and the preparation of contract documents through supervision and coordination of the work including in-house architectural/administrative staff as well as consultants
  • Reviews project documents for quality control
  • Maintains project records
  • Review projects for compliance with zoning and building codes, regulations and standards
  • Process documents through review agencies
  • Work with clients in the development of the design and documentation
  • Provide design information for construction cost estimates
  • Perform construction support and contract administration
